Egypt has made transit visa mandatory for Bangladeshi citizens.
The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Dhaka informed this through a notification.
The embassy stated that from now on, as per the latest instructions of the relevant Egyptian authorities, transit visas must be obtained through the embassy before traveling.
The embassy's notification also said that transit visas must be obtained in advance from the Egyptian Embassy in Dhaka.
In addition, the traveler must have a valid passport and, if applicable, a valid visa or residence permit of the final destination country.
The notification also states that Egypt must be included in the itinerary as a transit point to another destination.
In addition, entry into Egypt will be dependent on compliance with the country's immigration policies. Not being included in the entry ban list has also been mentioned as a condition.
The embassy has requested that the necessary transit visas be obtained before traveling to avoid any kind of suffering. For more information and application process, it has been asked to contact the consular section of the embassy.
