Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices at the consumer level have been sharply increased, with the price of a 12kg cylinder set at Tk1,728 for April—Tk387 higher than the previous month.
Autogas prices have also been raised, with the new rate fixed at Tk79.77 per litre, up from Tk61.83.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the revised prices on Thursday, saying the new rates will come into effect from this evening.
In March, the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder remained unchanged at Tk1,341, while autogas prices were slightly reduced to Tk61.83 per litre.
