Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sought the cooperation of all to build the Bangladesh that people aspire to see, saying the government will work to run the country in line with public expectations.
He made the remarks while briefing journalists at an Eid greetings exchange event with dignitaries at the state guesthouse Jamuna on Saturday afternoon.
Tarique Rahman said: “On this Eid, I pray to Almighty Allah that we can build the Bangladesh we aspire to. The government will work to build the country that the people want to see.”
He also expressed his commitment to moving forward in unity with everyone and extended Eid greetings to the people of the country.
The prime minister paid tribute to the martyrs of 1971 and 2024. His wife Dr Zubaida Rahman, daughter Zaima Rahman, other family members, cabinet members and top leaders were present at the time.
Earlier in the morning, at 8:30am, the prime minister performed Eid prayers at the National Eidgah.
