Body of Bangladeshi killed in Dubai arrives in Dhaka

The body of expatriate Bangladeshi Ahmed Ali, who was killed in Dubai during the Iran–Israel conflict, arrived in Dhaka on Monday morning.

The flight carrying his body landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, airport sources said.

Officials said the body was brought back with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant Bangladeshi mission abroad. After completing the necessary legal formalities, the body will be handed over to his family.

Ahmed Ali was a resident of Barlekha in Moulvibazar.

He died in Dubai amid the situation created by the Iran–Israel conflict, his family members said. His death has cast a pall of grief over his hometown.
