Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB) has arrested another shooter, Rahim, from Narsingdi in connection with the murder of former Swechhasebak Dal leader Azizur Rahman Musabbir, and recovered the weapon used in the killing.
DMP Additional Police Commissioner (DB) Shafiqul Islam confirmed the development on Friday.
He said Rahim was arrested in an operation in Narsingdi and the firearm used in the murder was recovered. The operation is still ongoing, and detailed information will be provided at a press conference on Saturday.
Earlier, police said three people—Jinnat, Abdul Qadir, and Md Riaz—were arrested in connection with Musabbir’s killing during operations conducted on the night of January 10 in different areas of Manikganj and Gazipur by the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
