Bobby Hajjaj submits nomination for Dhaka-13 on final day

On the final day for submitting nomination papers to contest the 13th National Parliamentary Election, Bobby Hajjaj, the probable candidate nominated by BNP, filed his nomination for the Dhaka-13 constituency (Mohammadpur–Adabar).

He submitted the papers to the Returning Officer and Dhaka Regional Election Officer, Md Yunus Ali, at the Election Training Institute (ETI) building in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Monday.

After submitting his nomination, Bobby Hajjaj told reporters: “We are hopeful that the upcoming election will be conducted in a transparent and fair environment. We believe the Election Commission will perform its duties responsibly.”

Although he is the chairman of the registered party NDM, regarding receiving BNP’s nomination, Bobby Hajjaj said: “From the beginning, we have been part of the joint movement alliance and still are. For strategic reasons, we decided to contest under a single symbol (the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’). BNP leaders and activists have been providing us full support and cooperation from the start.”
