An independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency and spokesperson of Inquilab Mancha, Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, has been shot.
The incident took place around 2:20pm on Friday.
He was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Friday afternoon with bullet injuries.

He said two men arrived on a motorcycle after Jummah prayers in Motijheel, and the pillion rider opened fire at Hadi from close range, aiming at his head. The bullet struck his left jaw.
After the shooting, the attackers accelerated the motorcycle and fled the scene.
On November 14, Hadi had written in a Facebook post that he had received threats of being killed, his house being set on fire, and his mother, sister, and wife being raped.
