The 45th Annual Commanders’ Conference of the Armoured Corps 2025 was held on Wednesday at the Armoured Corps Centre and School (ACC&S) in Bogra Cantonment.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the event as the chief guest, according to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).
Upon his arrival at the ACC&S, the army chief was received by the GOC of Army Training and Doctrine Command; the Colonel Commandant of the Armoured Corps; the GOC of the 11 Infantry Division and Area Commander of Bogra Area; and the Commandant of the ACC&S.
Addressing the commanders of various units of the armoured corps and other officers present at the conference, the army chief provided directives aimed at advancing both the corps and the Bangladesh Army.
He highlighted the proud heritage of the armoured corps and its contributions to the service of the motherland.
He called upon all members of the corps to remain prepared to face contemporary global challenges by acquiring the necessary capabilities through modern and time-befitting training.
He also expressed confidence that every member of the corps would continue to play an exceptional role in serving the nation in the future.
Later, he planted a tree at the ACC&S and took part in a group photograph with the commanders.
The event was attended by the GOC of Army Training and Doctrine Command; the Colonel Commandant of the Armoured Corps; the Director General of NSI; the Adjutant General; the GOC of the 11 Infantry Division and Area Commander of Bogra Area; senior military officials from Army Headquarters; the Commandant of the ACC&S; commanders of all armoured units including the Armoured Brigade of the Bangladesh Army; as well as members of the media.
