The fire, which broke out at Sundarban Square Market in the Gulistan area of the capital, has been brought under control.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the market around 10am.
On information, 11 firefighting units rushed to the spot and put the fire under control around 11:12am, said Talha Bin Jashim, an official of the Fire Service and Civil Defense (Media cell).
