Citing negligence in organizational responsibilities, the central committee of Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has relieved 15 leaders of its Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit from their duties.
This information was disclosed in a press release signed by Md Jahangir Alam, central office secretary of the organization, on Friday afternoon.
The relieved leaders are: Joint Conveners Md Hasan, Masum Rahat, Rajib Hasan, Sahanur Rahman, and members Nur Hossain, Ismail Hossain Baki, Firoz Ahmed Rana, Tanvir Hossain, Rihab Hossain, Imran Hossain, Abir Hasan, Atikur Rahman Akash, Khandaker Sakib Anjum Sharfi, Sultan Ahmed, and Nasir Uddin Mia.
The press release stated in accordance with the decision of the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal central committee, they have been relieved from their organizational positions in the Jahangirnagar University unit of Chhatra Dal due to negligence in organizational duties.
This decision was approved by Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam and General Secretary Nasir Uddin.
Earlier, on January 8, the JCD central committee announced a 177-member convening committee of the JU unit of Chhatra Dal.
