8 political parties, organizations to meet Yunus on Sunday

Eight political parties and organizations, including Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, Islami Andolan Bangladesh and Gono Odhikar Parishad, will meet with Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus at his official residence, Jamuna, on Sunday evening.

IAB Ameer Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, popularly known as Charmonai Pir, will participate in the meeting on behalf of his organization.

Moreover, top leaders of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Gono Odhikar Parishad, Nejam-e-Islam Party and Hefazat-e-Islam will participate in the meeting.

It is understood that at the meeting, these organizations will give advice to the interim government on ensuring reforms, elections, and justice.

Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Azad Majumder said that in the first phase, Colonel (Retd) Oli Ahmed, Bir Bikram, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Saiful Haque, Zonayed Saki, Hasnat Qayyum, Mojibur Rahman Monju, Mujahidul Islam Selim, Khalequzzaman Bhuiyan, Tipu Biswas, Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu and Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan will meet with the chief adviser on behalf of their organizations.

In the second round, the chief adviser will meet with Mawlana Sadiqur Rahman, Mawlana Rezaul Karim, Mawlana Mamunul Haque, Mawlana Ahmed Abdul Quader, Mawlana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, Mawlana Manjurul Islam Afendi, Nurul Haque Nur, Mawlana Musa Bin Izhar, and Mufti Mawlana Shakhawat Hossain Razi.

On Saturday, the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and National Citizen Party (NCP) leaders met Yunus separately.
