The minimum and maximum Fitra rates for this year have been set at Tk110 and Tk2,805, respectively.
Last year, the rates were Tk115 at the lowest and Tk2,970 at the highest.
The National Fitra Determination Committee finalized these rates on Tuesday during a meeting at the Islamic Foundation's conference room in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
The rates apply for Hijri year 1446.
The meeting was chaired by Mufti Maulana Abdul Malek, khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque and chairman of the committee.
The rates were determined based on the market prices of wheat, barley, dates, raisins, and cheese collected from different regions of the country.
Muslims can fulfill their Sadaqatul Fitr obligation by donating any of these items or their equivalent market value.
Since retail prices vary by location, payments can be made according to local market rates.
