The Police Headquarters has launched a hotline service to take effective measures against incidents of violence, aggressive behavior, abuse, teasing, harassment, and sexual assault towards women.
AIG Enamul Haque Sagar of the Police Headquarters confirmed this information in a press release on Monday.
In case of such incidents occurring anywhere in the country, complaints can be made through the following hotline numbers, the press release stated.
The hotline numbers are 01320002001, 01320002002, and 01320002222.
These lines will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Additionally, the Police Cyber Support for Women Facebook page, which provides legal services and protection for women victims of cybercrime, remains active.
The press release states that the Bangladesh Police follows a zero-tolerance policy in maintaining law and order and preventing crimes against women and children.
The Bangladesh Police is committed to taking appropriate legal action against perpetrators of violence against women and children.
