In Pirojpur city’s Old Bus Stand, a representative of the Jatiya Nagorik Committee was attacked by criminals.
Musabbir Mahmud Sani, 29, the representative of the Jatiya Nagorik Committee, said: “I went to the Old Bus Stand after Taraweeh prayers when a group of criminals attacked me, beating and injuring me with a sharp weapon.”
During the attack, the criminals also beat his brother Sanjid,19.
Sani suffered injuries to his back, arms, and various parts of his body, while Sanjid was injured in his neck and legs.
Upon receiving the news, Pirojpur Sadar Police arrived at the scene and immediately took the injured brothers to Pirojpur Sadar Hospital.
Dr Rajib Paik, the medical officer of the hospital’s emergency department, said that Sani had more severe injuries, and the nature of his injuries would be determined after an X-ray.
Pirojpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abdus Sobhan said that after receiving a written complaint, appropriate legal action would be taken.
