On the 19th day of the joint forces' nationwide crackdown, dubbed Operation Devil Hunt, 678 more individuals were apprehended for their suspected involvement in destabilizing the country, according to a brief message from the Police Headquarters.
With the latest arrests, the total number of individuals arrested under Operation Devil Hunt has risen to 10,870 since the operation began on February 8, following a terror attack on students in Gazipur.
In the last 24 hours, the joint forces apprehended 1,690 criminals from across the country.
Of these, 678 were arrested under the operation, while 1,012 others were taken into custody for previous cases and warrants.
During the operation, the forces seized one 4.5mm pistol, one LG, one shotgun, a locally made single-barrel gun, one magazine, seven additional magazines, one rifle bullet, and seven sharp machetes.
