639 more arrested under Operation Devil Hunt

As part of efforts to curb sabotage and violence that could destabilize the country, the joint forces have arrested 639 more individuals under the nationwide operation, Operation Devil Hunt.

In a brief statement, the police headquarters reported that a total of 1,638 individuals were apprehended across the country in the past 24 hours, ending at Tuesday noon. 

Among them, 639 were detained for their suspected involvement in activities aimed at destabilizing the country under Operation Devil Hunt, while the remaining 999 were arrested in connection with previous cases and outstanding warrants, according to the statement.

During the operation, law enforcement officials also seized two old foreign pistols, a light gun (LG), a pistol magazine, a lead cartridge for a shotgun, a machete, a knife, and a sharp boti (a traditional cutting tool).
