Gold prices reach all-time high in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus) has announced another price hike, raising the price by a maximum of Tk2,099 per bhori.

With the new price adjustment, the cost of one bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold will now be Tk144,890, the highest price ever recorded in the country.

The previous highest price, set on October 30th last year, was Tk143,526.

Afterward, gold prices fluctuated in several stages, with the most recent price at Tk142,791.

According to a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of Bajus' Pricing and Monitoring Committee, the new prices will take effect starting Sunday.
