The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light rain or drizzle in some parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting Friday morning.
"Light rain or drizzle is likely to occur in one or two places in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal and Sylhet divisions, as well as in the regions of Noakhali and Comilla. Elsewhere, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky," according to the forecast issued at 9am.
A ridge of the sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and its adjoining areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
Moderate to thick fog may occur in some places across the country from midnight to morning and in some areas, it may persist until noon.
Thick fog may temporarily disrupt air navigation, inland river transport and road communication.
Night and day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
On Thursday, the country's highest temperature was recorded at 29.8°C in Teknaf, while the lowest temperature on Friday was 9.8°C in Tetulia.
