Six more individuals injured in the July-August uprising, who were receiving treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), have been sent to Thailand for advanced medical care.
According to Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, senior information officer of the Ministry of Health, they were flown to Thailand on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 11am on Wednesday.
Among them, three were receiving treatment at CMH—Mohammad Israfil, 15, Roman Dhali, 17, and Tahsin Hossain, 13.
Roman Dhali and Tahsin Hossain sustained gunshot wounds to their backs, resulting in spinal cord injuries that have left them unable to walk.
They have been sent for robotic physiotherapy.
At DMCH, Rajib, 36, suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Despite surgery, his condition did not improve, leading to his transfer to Thailand.
Mizanur Rahman sustained a gunshot wound to the face, severely altering his facial structure.
Hafizur Rahman Habib also suffered a spinal cord injury and has been sent to Bangkok Hospital for robotic physiotherapy.
