Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has said recent intensified arrest drives are being reviewed for further strengthening, with visible results expected soon.
He made the statement after a law and order committee meeting at the Secretariat on Sunday.
Asif said the meeting also discussed improving the overall law and order and ensuring the smooth execution of upcoming events.
When asked who the arrest drives are targeting, he said: "Those from the previous fascist government who are abroad and attempting to incite unrest, funding activities in various ways, and trying to organize processions will be arrested."
