Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, SGP, NDU, AFWC, PSC, the organization's director general, adorned the rank badges of 18 officers newly promoted to the rank of director at the headquarters of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party on Thursday.
During the event, the director general congratulated the promoted officers and said that promotion is not merely a recognition of personal or collective success but an extension of responsibilities and accountability.
It provides an opportunity to further dedicate oneself to professional excellence in the service of the nation and its people, he said.
He expressed his confidence that these newly promoted officers, during this transformative period of a rising Bangladesh, would play a crucial role in safeguarding national sovereignty, ensuring public safety, and contributing to socio-economic development through integrity, dedication, perseverance, and loyalty.
He emphasized the need for prioritizing professional excellence beyond conventional approaches and urged the officers to utilize their skills and experience for the welfare of the country and its people.
The director general expressed hope that the promoted officers would enhance their service delivery at their respective workplaces and contribute significantly to social productivity.
He also provided directives on how to implement proper plans and strategies for addressing various societal issues and bringing about meaningful change.
The director general added that the officers must abandon outdated mindsets, adopt new vigor, and dedicate themselves to nation-building. At the same time, they must ensure fundamental rights and welfare-oriented initiatives at the grassroots level, along with institutional reforms and capacity building within the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party.
He urged the officers to play a pivotal role in fulfilling the aspirations of the people by implementing necessary administrative and institutional reforms for creating a creative, effective, and equitable Bangladesh.
On behalf of the newly promoted officers, AHM Mehedi Hasan expressed his gratitude and commitment to shouldering greater responsibilities in key organizational functions following the promotion.
The promoted directors are AHM Mehedi Hasan, Md Alamgir Sikder, SM Muzibul Haque Pavel, Shaikh Firoz Ahmed, Subhra Chowdhury, Md Ammar Hossain, Md Ashraful Islam, Sanjoy Chowdhury, Md Sajjad Mahmud, Bikash Chandra Das, Md Moinul Islam, Nobo Kumar Biswas, Hafiz Al Moammar Gaddafi, Amlan Jyoti Nag, Farzana Akhter Dalia, Mirza Sifat-e-Khoda, Nadira Yasmin, and Md Zahid Hossain.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued the promotion notification on Tuesday, promoting them from deputy director to director.
The rank badges were officially conferred by the Director General on Thursday.
