Gold prices increased

After four consecutive reductions, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus) has announced an increase in gold prices in the local market.

The price has been raised by a maximum of Tk2,939 per bhori.

As a result, the price of high-quality 22-carat gold will now be Tk137,449 per bhori, which was previously Tk134,509 until Tuesday.

This information was shared in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Bajus Pricing and Monitoring Standing Committee, on Tuesday.

Bajus stated that the price of melted gold has increased in the local market.

Considering the overall situation, a new price has been set, which will be effective from Wednesday.

On November 14, the price was reduced by a maximum of Tk1,680 per bhori.

According to the new pricing, the price per bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold will be Tk37,449, 21-carat gold will be Tk131,197, 18-carat gold will be Tk112,453, and traditional gold will be Tk92,286.

Despite the increase in gold prices, silver prices remain unchanged.

The price of 22-carat silver per bhori is Tk2,578, 21-carat is Tk2,449, 18-carat is Tk2,111, and traditional silver is Tk1,586.

Previously, Bajus had reduced the price of gold on November 14, which came into effect on Friday and remained in place until now.
