The interim government has formed a special cell to document the July-August student and public uprising.
The cell would also finalize a complete list of martyrs and injured individuals, and provide medical aid and support to affected families.
The Cabinet Division issued an office order on Monday, to create this cell under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The 10-member cell will be headed by an official of additional secretary or joint secretary rank from the health ministry.
The team includes four deputy or senior assistant secretaries, two medical professionals and special representatives, and two student representatives, Abdullah Salehin Ayon and Cynthia Jahin Ayesha.
Funding for the cell's operations will be drawn from grants allocated by the Finance Division to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with the Finance Division providing the necessary funds.
Previously, on August 15, the Health Services Division had formed a committee to draft a policy for treating the injured during the uprising and assisting the families of martyrs, as well as to create a complete list of the identities of the martyrs and the injured.
