Army hospitals treat thousands of injured in student movement

The Bangladesh Army has provided urgent and advanced medical care to nearly 2,500 students injured in the anti-discrimination protests, with treatment ongoing at various Combined Military Hospitals (CMHs) nationwide.

In a press release issued Saturday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that since August 18, CMHs have been working tirelessly to provide emergency and advanced treatment for injured students.

As per the latest figures, a total of 2,533 injured students have received medical assistance at CMHs nationwide, including Dhaka CMH.

Among them, 867 are still under treatment, while the rest have been discharged following recovery.

The ISPR further said that the Bangladesh Army is committed to ensuring the swift recovery of students injured in the protests and continues to provide maximum support to guarantee necessary emergency care across the country.
