The Ministry of Religious Affairs has opened a control room at the secretariat to ensure the peaceful celebration of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Bangalee Hindu community.
The control room will operate from Thursday to Monday in room number 1424, level 14 of building six, according to an official release issued today.
A senior assistant secretary has been assigned to oversee the control room.
People are urged to contact the control room by dialing 01766843809 if the overall law and order situation is disturbed in any way during the celebration of the puja.
