BSEC took the decision in the 923rd commission meeting held by the BSEC in the city.
Shakib's career was not without controversy and criticism. However, the all-rounder never had to stand in court as a defendant in a criminal case before this.
Recently, a murder case has been registered in his name. Therefore, even if seeks bail, he may have to stand in court in the near future.
Shakib, a member of parliament elected from Magura-1 constituency on the Awami League ticket in the 12th national parliamentary election, has been accused in the murder case of a garment worker who was killed in the anti-discrimination student movement in last July-August.
