The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is set to start selling essential commodities at subsidized prices across the country from Sunday, for the month of September.
Rice at subsidized prices alongside lentil and edible oil will be sold among some 10 million family card holders by the TCB dealers from their shops or permanent structures in cooperation with the concerned city corporations, district and upazila administrations on a certain date and time.
Each family cardholder will be able to buy a maximum of two litres of edible oil at Tk100 per litre, two kilograms of lentils at Tk60 per kg, and five kg of rice at Tk30 per kg.
