The two newly appointed advisers who were sworn in on Sunday have been assigned their respective ministries.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday, Bidhan Ranjan Roy has been appointed as the adviser to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, while Supradip Chakma has been assigned as the adviser to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs.
The two advisers took their oaths before President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban on Sunday afternoon.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country on August 5, coinciding with the "Long March to Dhaka" program organized by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. The cabinet was dissolved shortly afterwards.
The interim government, led by Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, was sworn in on Thursday.
Dr Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist, heads the interim cabinet, which comprises 16 advisers. Three of the advisers could not take the oath that day as they were outside Dhaka or abroad.
The Cabinet Division had earlier issued a notification allocating the offices of the chief adviser and the other advisers sworn in on Friday.
Previously, there were 27 ministries and departments under the chief adviser. With the appointment of these two new advisers, the number of ministries and departments under the chief adviser has been reduced to 25.
