The contractual appointment of Tofazzel Hossain Miah, principal secretary to the former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, has been canceled.
The cancellation was made by an order from the president, according to a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Bhaskar Debnath of the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday.
Earlier, the government had extended the contractual appointment of Tofazzel Hossain Miah, for the next year, on June 24.
Meanwhile, the government appointed Tofazzel Hossain Miah on a one-year contractual basis when his regular service age expired on July 4 2023.
