Food minister’s home vandalized in Naogaon

A group of miscreants vandalized the residence of Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder in Nagaon on Monday.

Meanwhile, some vandalized banners and festoons of the Awami League and set fire to the motorcycle of District Swechchhasebak League General Secretary Nur Mohammad Lal.

Thousands of students and people gathered at the Kazir intersection in Naogaon town around 3:30pm breaking the curfew. 

From children to old people, women to teenagers, people of all ages were seen cheering. At this time, they saluted members of the army and thanked them with flowers.

The protesters paraded the main roads of the city with a victory procession. 

At 4:30pm, when the victory parade reached Sarisha Hati Mor in the city, the protesters vandalized and set fire to the district Awami League's party office.

During the time, the residence of Naogaon-5 MP Nizam Uddin Jalil John, located in front of the Awami League office, and several mobile showrooms in his owned Thikana Community Center were also vandalized.

The country turned into a sea of people defying curfew in the afternoon to celebrate the news of the Awami League regime coming to an end.
