Army chief urges public to refrain from violence, vandalism

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has called on the public to refrain from causing damage to any property or harm to lives. 

This information was shared in a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate on Monday.

The call came as reports emerged of attacks on government establishments, homes of Awami League leaders and party offices in various parts of the country, including the capital. 

Attacks, vandalism and arson were reported at several key locations, including the prime minister's residence Ganabhaban, the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32, the central office of the Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue and the political office of the party's president in Dhanmondi.
