A series of clashes broke out between anti-discrimination protesters and Awami League activists in Mirpur area of the capital.
The incident occurred around 12pm on Sunday at Mirpur 10 in the capital.
Locals said that Awami League activists, armed with sticks, were seen chasing the students. During this time, the students fled into various alleys.
Gunshots were also heard intermittently.
However, no reports of casualties have been received from the area at this moment.
