Weather forecast: Where will it rain on Wednesday?

The met office has forecast varying amounts of rainfall in all eight divisions.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely in most places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions as well as many places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions, with moderately heavy to very heavy falls in places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, it said in its latest weather bulletin on Wednesday morning.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department added that a mild heatwave is sweeping across the districts of Madaripur, Pabna, Khulna, Jessore and Chuadanga, noting that it may subside in some places.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged, the BMD said. 

Due to excessive moisture content, discomfort may persist, it mentioned.

Netrakona recorded the most rainfall in the 24 hours to 6am on Wednesday at 199mm.

Meanwhile, Jessore, Chuadanga and Pabna’s Ishwardi jointly logged Tuesday’s highest temperature at 36.4 degrees Celsius, while Kurigram’s Rajarhat saw Wednesday’s lowest temperature at 23 degrees.
