A fake notice claiming that the Higher Secondary School (HSC) exams would be postponed by a month due to the aftermath of Cyclone Remal is circulating on social media, causing confusion among students and parents.
Mohammad Abul Khair, the public relations officer of the Ministry of Education's Secondary and Higher Education Division, has confirmed that no such decision has been made.
The fake notice, which started spreading on social media on Thursday, falsely stated that the exam dates had been changed due to the cyclone, flooding, and student movements.
This year's HSC and equivalent examinations will begin on June 30.
The written tests will end on August 11. The practical test will be held from August 12-21.
The exams will be held for three hours.
Last year, it was announced that the HSC exam of 2024 will be held on the same revised syllabus designed for 2023.
