Bangladesh to adjust fuel prices with international market

The price of fuel oil will be adjusted with the international market rates from March, said State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid. 

The state minister said that if the price of crude oil increases in the international market, it will also increase in Bangladesh. If the price falls in the international market, it will be reduced in Bangladesh.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said this at a press briefing at the secretariat on Tuesday. 

Earlier, he said that the prices of electricity are set to go up by 34 paisa to 70 paisa per unit from the first week of March. 

Regarding the price of gas, the state minister said if the price increases in the international market, the price of gas will be increased in the country. “This adjustment will also be implemented from the first week of March.”
