Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General Additional IGP M Khurshid Hossain said the elite force will conduct regular mobile court to control the essential commodities on Wednesday.
He said this while exchanging views with newly elected executive committee members of the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) at RAB headquarters, Dhaka.
The RAB DG congratulated the new committee on giving floral bouquets.
Khurshid said it will be possible to bring any type of criminal, including militants, dacoits, extortionists, murderers, and kidnappers, under arrest with the combined efforts of RAB and journalists.
The RAB force will conduct drives against drug peddlers and extortionists in vehicles carrying products in the future, he said.
He urged the journalists to provide information on crimes to maintain law and order.
RAB DG (operations) Colonel Md Mahabub Alam, Additional DG (admin) DIG Imtiaz Ahmed, CRAB President Kamruzzaman Khan, General Secretary Sirazul Islam, and other members of the committee were present.
