The renowned Bangladeshi pottery company Banglamati has returned home after showcasing its exquisite pottery and garnering significant attention at the prestigious Ambiente Fair 2024, organized by German Messe Frankfurt.
During the five-day fair, which began on January 26, Banglamati attracted numerous visitors and potential buyers who expressed keen interest in the company's craftsmanship.
Shishir Kumar, the owner of Banglamati, highlighted the participation of 20 Bangladeshi handicraft companies at the fair's CBI stand. Among them, Banglamati, also known as "Soil of Bengal," proudly exhibited the clay artistry of Baufal in Patuakhali district.
On the return of the team, Shishir Kumar shared insights from the event, noting the presence of representatives from 130 countries showcasing a diverse array of handicraft products, including household items.
Emphasizing the global demand for Bangladesh's handicrafts, Kumar said the industry has the potential for substantial growth in foreign markets, thus enhancing the country's reputation.
Banglamati specializes in earthenware from Baufal, situated in Barisal division, with plans underway to establish a new brand in Baufal Pottery.
The success of Banglamati echoes the achievements of Bisheshwar Pal, an entrepreneur in Baufal Pottery who previously clinched the National Craft Award in the pottery category.
