Cold wave: Winter’s lowest temperature recorded at 5°C in Tetutia 

The lowest temperature of this season has been recorded at Tetulia of Panchagarh and Dinajpur. 

The temperature was recorded at 5°C on Sunday morning. 

Besides, another northern district Dinajpur recorded the lowest temperature at 5.3°C in the morning.

A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over 28 districts including two divisions of the country, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department. 

The total number of districts in Rajshahi and Rangpur division is 16. Apart from this, a cold wave is sweeping in 12 more districts.

 The districts are Gopalganj, Madaripur, Manikganj, Moulvibazar, Satkhira, Jessore, Kushtia, Barisal, Chuadanga, Tangail, Comilla and Patuakhali.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in the capital also dropped on Sunday compared to Saturday. 

The lowest temperature recorded in Dhaka is 12.8°C which was 13°C on Saturday. 

Sources at the Meteorological Department said that although the temperature is low on Sunday, it may increase from Monday. 

On Saturday, the lowest temperature in the country was recorded at Tetulia in Panchagarh at 7.2°C. 

On Friday as well, the season’s lowest temperature was recorded at 5.8° in Tetulia.
