Member of Parliament for Jessore-3 (Sadar) constituency and Awami League-nominated candidate in 12th National Parliament Election Kazi Nabil Ahmed on Sunday cast his vote at the Sheba Sangha Girls High School at 11:00am.
Later he told reporters that voting was going on in a peaceful environment, and that he did not hear of any untoward incident.
Voters are satisfied with the development activities of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he further commented.
He expressed optimism about Bangladesh Awami League’s victory.
Kazi Nabil Ahmed was accompanied by his wife Dr Maliha Mannan Ahmed, younger brother Kazi Inam Ahmed, District Council chairman Saifuzzaman Pikul, Sadar Upazila Council Chairman Mustafa Farid Ahmed Chowdhury, and others.
Other candidates include independent candidate Mohit Kumar Nath (eagle symbol), and Jatiya Party advocate Mahbub Alam Bachchu.
