One hundred fifty-two platoons of the Border Guard Bangladesh and 422 patrol teams of the Rapid Action Battalion have been deployed across Bangladesh to maintain law and order during the BNP’s 11th blockade.
BGB Public Relations Officer Md Shariful Islam on Tuesday morning said 18 of the platoons were deployed in Dhaka and its surrounding districts.
Meanwhile, 130 RAB teams were dispatched to the capital, RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin said.
RAB said its patrol teams are escorting passenger and goods transports as well as long-distance vehicles in different parts of the country to ensure security.
Apart from this, RAB detectives have continued surveillance in disguise at important places including bus stands and railway stations, to prevent any sabotage and violence.
