RAB-2 picked up Ataur Rahman Dhali, advisor to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, from Bosila area under Mohammadpur police station in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The information was confirmed by BNP chairperson's press wing member Shamsuddin Didar.
Earlier in the morning, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested BNP chairperson's adviser Habibur Rahman Habib as he failed to appear before the court despite a High Court's order in a contempt of court case from Dhaka’s Mirpur DOHS area.
Several BNP leaders and activists have been arrested and detained in connection with the incidents of violence and sabotage triggered from the grant rally organized by the BNP-Jammat on October 28.
