Razzaque: No country can thwart Bangladesh polls with sanctions

Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque on Wednesday said no country can thwart the general election in Bangladesh by imposing sanctions.

He made the statement in response to questions from journalists at the inauguration of an agricultural fair in front of the Madhupur upazila council in Tangail.

“The BNP is digging its own grave. It gave a 24-hour ultimatum but cannot do anything in reality; it has been holding protests for 14 years.”

Strikes and terrorism are destabilizing the country. The people of this country are not by the side of the BNP in its movement and struggle, said the minister.

He also said all measures are being taken to break the potato syndicate. The potato market will be normal soon.

Due to the war in Russia and Ukraine, the price of all items has increased in the kitchen market, the minister said.
