BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who was transferred to the coronary care unit (CCU) as her health condition deteriorated earlier on Friday, has been shifted back to her cabin at the capital’s Evercare Hospital.
She was taken from the hospital’s cabin to the CCU around 12pm on Friday.
The BNP chief was returned back to the cabin at around 4:30pm, according to medical staff.
Sources say that Begum Khaleda Zia's physical condition is worsening.
Khaleda Zia was previously admitted to the same hospital for treatment on June 13 and returned home on June 17.
The former prime minister has been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and kidney, lung, heart and eye problems.
She has been receiving treatment at the hospital since August 9.
