Shamser Mobin Chowdhury have been elected as the chairperson and Taimur Alam Khandkar as general secretary of the Trinamool BNP's partial national executive committee.
They were elected to their respective posts by the councillors' vote in the Trinamool BNP's first National Council at the Engineers Institution Auditorium in the capital's Ramna on Tuesday afternoon.
Besides, Antara Selima Hooda, daughter of late Barrister Nazmul Huda, founder chairman of the party, has been elecTribune Dested as the executive chairperson of the party. Md Akkas Ali Khan has been elected senior joint secretary general.
Earlier, the conference of Trinamool BNP officially began by hoisting the party and national flags around 11:45am.
In the second phase of the meeting, the partial committee was announced by the organizer of the council and the former joint secretary general of the party Md Akkas Ali Khan. A 27-member National Executive Committee was elected.
The vice chairpersons elected are – KA Jahangir Mazmadar, Major (retd) Dr Habibur Rahman, Mokhlesur Rahman Farhadi, Deepak Kumar Palit, Menwal Sarkar and Chalam Mahmud.
Joint secretary generals elected are — Advocate Rezaul Karim, Advocate Masudur Rahman, Faiz Chowdhury, Talukdar Zahirul Haque, Rokhsana Amin Surma.
Shamim Ahsan has been elected treasurer (vice chairman rank).
Organized secretaries elected are – Shahjahan Siraj (Barisal), and Akbar Khan (Chittagong).
Apart from this, Kamal Moral has been made the co-organizing secretary.
AK Saidur Rahman and Md Raju Mia as office secretaries, Kazi Ibrahim Khalil Sabuj as liberation war secretary, Shahabuddin Iqbal as youth secretary, Advocate Ashanur Rahman as legal secretary, Architect Nazmus Shakib as science and technology secretary, Sagar Ghosh as publicity and publication secretary and Farhad Hossain was elected as Swechasebak secretary.
