Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers across the country in the next 24 hours from 9am.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions; and at many places over Khulna division with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a regular BMD bulletin this morning.
The country's highest rainfall, 141mm, was recorded in Barisal’s Khepupara in 24 hours till 6am on Tuesday.
The day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged across the country, read the bulletin.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.
