Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has claimed that it has been extending its full cooperation to all relevant authorities including the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) of Bangladesh in the investigation into the death of Captain Mohannad Yousef Hassan Al Hindi, a long-serving pilot of the airline who died in Bangladesh in December 2022.
The airline sent a rejoinder to a UNB report over the late pilot's sister Tala Elhendy Josephano’s claim that the country manager of Gulf Air has been creating obstacles to an investigation into the death of Yousef Hassan.
She made the allegations in a statement on Saturday.
Gulf Air said it believes that it is not responsible for the death of Captain Mohannad and expressed deep shock over the death of Captain Mohannad Yousef Hassan Al Hindi.
It claimed that it provided care and support to the family members of the late Captain Mohannad.
The airline remains committed to assisting with the investigation and has provided information and documents whenever requested. In light of the ongoing investigation, Gulf Air requests that all parties respect the process and refrain from speculation, it said.
