The ruling party Awami League, opposition BNP and Jatiya Party (JaPa) leaders held a meeting with British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke at her residence on Wednesday night.
Several related sources revealed the information to Dhaka Tribune.
Sources said the new British high commissioner to Bangladesh hosted a dinner for Awami league, BNP and JaPa leaders at her residence.
Several political and social issues including the next general election and ongoing opposition movement were discussed at the meeting.
From Awami League it’s Office Secretary Biplab Barua, Information Secretary Selim Mahmud were present at the meeting. BNP delegation consisted of Shama Obaied, Azizul Bari Helal while Shamim Haider Patwary MP represented JaPa.
They went to the British high commissioner’s residence at around 7pm and left around 10pm after having dinner together.
