The installation of CCTV cameras is going on at all the polling stations ahead of the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) election.
In this regard, a meeting of Khulna District Law and Order Committee led by Deputy Commissioner Khandaker Yasir Arefin was held Tuesday afternoon.
In the meeting, Khulna City Corporation Election-2023 Returning Officer Md Alauddin said that the city corporation election will be held using Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). The required number of EVMs have already reached Khulna.
“At present, the work of installing CCTV cameras in all centres is going on. So far, there has been no significant incident of violation of election code of conduct by the rival candidates. The campaign activities of the candidates will continue till the midnight of June 10,” he added.
