In the national budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, an increased allocation of Tk1,942 crore has been set for the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
In the outgoing budget, the allocation for the ministry was Tk1,924 crore.
Apart from this, the proposed budget suggests an allocation of Tk237 crore for the Supreme Court.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Thursday unveiled a Tk7,61,785 crore (approximately $7.1 billion) proposed national budget for the 2023–24 fiscal year in the national parliament.
He started reading out the budget at parliament on Thursday.
The proposed budget will be 15.2% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
