The government has proposed allocating Tk1,050 crore for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in the national budget for the financial year (FY) 2023-24 which was Taka 1,375 crore in the revised budget for FY 2022-23.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal proposed the allocation while placing the budget in parliament on Thursday.
The government had allocated Tk1,099 crore for the ministry in the proposed budget for FY2022-23.
